CHANCE FOR NEPAL

NEW PROJECT – Free Health Camp was successfully organized by MOUNTAIN HEART NEPAL in Shree Lakhan Gau Palika, Bungkot, Gorkha on 22-23 July, 2016 funded by CHANCE for Nepal.

The 6 members of MHN including 4 doctors and 2 nurses provided free health check-up and consultations. Medicines were distributed free of cost.  The team gave routine health check-up along with screening for high blood sugar, high blood pressure, cataract, and heart diseases and under nutrition. More than 300 patients, over 67 of them children from Bungkot and surrounding villages attended the health camp. One 17 year old girl Manju was diagnosed with life threatening  Enteric Fever and was given life saving medicines. One elderly lady was taken to hospital but sadly died later in the day.  The next medical camp will be on Sunday 30th July in a school in a remote area, though nearer Kathmandu. CHANCE is again funding the medicines. Sunday is a good day to hold a medical camp as children go to school on a Sunday in Nepal.  We are delighted to be part of this brilliant organisation.

The dedicated team of doctors and nurses and medical professionals fund their own expenses to carry out this life saving work.  You can donate through CHANCE or visit their website to donate directly: www.mhn.org.np
