MOUNTAIN HEART NEPAL
We are excited to release a short architectural video of the new 15 bed community hospital a Hetauda.
The name of our hospital is Siddhasthali Rural Community Hospital. “Siddha” means enlightenment and “thali” meaning a place in Sanskrit. Hence the hospital name “Siddhasthali” means the place of enlightenment. The idea behind the word Siddhasthali is that whoever/ professionals want to become great among you and have a meaningful life “enlighten” may wish to come and spend time and skill in this hospital.
CHANCE for Nepal is funding all 15 beds for the hospital. We are also funding the hospital therapeutic garden with Jackie and Dave Bradshaw in memory of their daughter Jenny who did some volunteer work in Nepal and tragically died of an asthmatic attack aged 22. Andy Sturgeon, 8 times gold medallist at the Chelsea Flower Show and overall winner in 2019 and his team have designed the garden for free and taken on CHANCE as one of their charities to support in 2020.
